The Joy of Spring
April 12th, 2007
I am writing today, filled with inspiration and joy. We are officially in the season of Spring. A time for new beginnings and even though the weather is still a little cold, this can be forgiven as we see the blossoms on the trees and the daffodils growing abundantly.
The light somehow has a different quality to it and it feels as if it brings a hope into our lives that can be experienced through the breath and also as it touches our skin.
We went out to Rye on Easter Monday and it was lovely to see all the lambs frolicking around in the sunshine. Their light heartedness and innocence was beautiful to embrace.
It is important to remind ourselves to feel happy and sometimes it is difficult for us to remember when the last time was that we actually felt this. We often try to find experiences or other people to help us to feel happy but really this feeling can only be something that can be cultivated and felt within ourselves.
The yellow pomander can be helpful in helping us to experience joy once again if we are finding it difficult to find within our lives.
I hope that you had a fantastic Easter Weekend and that you managed to find the time to pamper yourself and to relax.
Sending you Love, Light and Joy

Abundance - The Dance of Life
March 30th, 2007
Firstly, I would like to apologise for not writing for so long but life was busy and it was as if I was swept away in the Sea of Life.
Abundance feels like an idea that links really closely with spring. The Source of all growth appearing on the earth again through the buds on the trees, the first flowers of the daffodils and a sense of newness that surrounds each waking moment.
Of course Abundance is available in each living moment for all of us, however, it is through our conditioning from the past that we determine exactly how much of it we are entitled to.
We may have learnt through a basic idea of lack and so we often react to situations from this place and we tend to look at how little we have rather than knowing that there is so much more out there that we can create for ourselves.
Red is to do with survival issues and day to day living where sometimes the material world can weigh very heavily on us. If we shine a light into the Red, we find pink, the colour of self acceptance and unconditional love. It is as if we can soften the survival issues by bringing a little light toward this and a little bit of love.
If we can accept ourselves completely including our conditioning we can bring a little love into what we do and each situation.
The Lady Nada quintessence is about unconditional love and letting go of negativity at a deep level and this energy is also about abundance.
Lady Nada offers the opportunity of realising that abundance is for everyone and not only for some. The key to abundance is that we only get from the Universe what we think we deserve! To break through the patterns of lack and to come to the world from a place of abundance is the key.
Have you ever said affirmations and found that they have not worked? This is because although the words are being said there is a level of your being that does not believe what it is that you are saying. We need to bring love to who we are and to accept ourselves enough to bring this changes about.
The Equilibrium Bottle that relates to Abundance being a dance of life is for me B21. This Bottle is called a New Beginning for Love and it’s tarot card association is to The World.
The image of this card is a woman, dancing naked within the elements of life holding two conductors batons in her hands.
In Aura-Soma, the image of naked people is to do with removing some of our past conditions so that there can be freedom in each moment. She is dancing within the four elements in each of the corners of the card as she is still bound by the elements of earth although she has found a freedom and playful within being governed by the laws of life.
The conductor batons are in many ways the sense of why she has found her freedom and this has come through the self acceptance and unconditional love. Through being free of some of the patterns of the past and using the laws of life in her favour she can now create abundance and a new way of being.
She is dancing in the picture and abundance is a dance and playfulness in life. When we can find this ease with ourselves and with life we can bring the changes into our lives that we would like to see.

About Steve Skudler
March 15th, 2007
My name is Steve, and this is my first time blogging. I love composing music and want to tell you a little bit about myself and how I got started.
At age 16, I was in my school auditorium watching a Guess Who music video. I was mesmerised watching Burton Cummings play the piano. I told my buddy sitting next to me “I am going to learn to play the piano and I will be playing on that stage in a year.” The following year, I was on stage, playing boogie for a vaudeville program. That was my start in music, and my passion for creating and playing piano continues to this day, 33 years later.
For the last 12 years I have worked as a massage therapist. I would use my own musical creations during massage sessions. Clients would ask if they could purchase the music and I always said that someday I would make it to sell.
That day has finally arrived. I retired from my massage practise, moved with my sweet Sharon to a rural setting in the country close to the mountains that we love, and spend my days creating music.
Sharon and I have daily talks about how we can put our talents to work to offer something of value that could help others. During this time, we had begun our Aura Soma journey. From the first moment I smelled the El Morya Quintessence, I was drawn to Aura Soma. The use of the Equilibrium bottles, Quintessences and Pomanders have had a profound affect on us.
I was putting the finishing touches on a piece of music that I loved, when it became crystal clear to me that my music is the “something of value” that I have to offer. The intent was (and is) simple - beautiful music that could possibly help the listener slow down, breathe, and gain a sense of peace.
I gave the finished music to Sharon to “test drive” during her Healing Touch sessions. The feedback from her clients brought joy to my heart. Once again, clients were asking where they could buy this music. This finished music became the Crystal Clear CD.
I have now had feedback on Crystal Clear from many people, including energy workers, massage therapists, a meditation instructor, an artist who uses it when she is teaching her painting classes, a woman who is using it to become more mindful while eating, and another who uses it for her children when she puts them to bed at night. The main theme of their sweet comments is that the music seems to quickly facilitate a sense of inner peace and centeredness. To quote a friend of mine, “It is like a bed of angel wings I can just lie down in. I listen to it at night during my time of reflection, and each time, the gentle flowing melodies take me deeper - like the music is a comforter I can wrap myself in.”
Twilight Ceremony is the second CD that I am very proud to be releasing. It takes on a different flavor, a flavor that is perfect for many different occasions. The feedback I have received is from people who have used it during a wedding reception, dinner parties, an art class, as well as massage therapists who have used it for clients. The comments have really touched my heart - hearing that the joy I felt while making it is coming through the music.

My Royal Blue Pomander Experience
January 11th, 2007
This morning I had a beautiful meditation and sense of peace when using the Royal Blue Pomander. I have used this pomander on several occasions before but this kind of experience usually happens to me when I use the Deep Magenta Pomander.
I meditate every morning and use a pomander first. I have the selection in front of me and intuitively feel for the one that will benefit me the most that morning. Sometimes I am surprised by what I pick and other times I have an understanding of the selection.
When using the Royal Blue Pomander this morning, I experienced a deep stillness that pervaded not only in myself but also in the room. When putting it on, I could sense the silence and peacefulness of the room and I realised that this is what deep peace felt like.
Sitting down to meditate, the peacefulness and stillness continued and I could sense a sound that was a silent sound. It felt as if it was the sound of creation when it first begun. It has been rather windy and blustery here, and on top of the silent sound I could hear the howling of the wind and the world outside and yet it felt very far away. It felt as if it was just a mask for the silent sound.
In Aura-soma we link Lady Nada to the Royal Blue and Nada means sound or Sacred Sound. After the meditation I realised that two of the bottles of my lifetime soul selection has Royal Blue in the top fraction. This means that as a soul incarnating on the Earth I chose to learn life experiences through the Royal Blue. As it appears in the top fraction of my second bottle it also means that it is a deep lesson to learn which can become a gift and pearl of wisdom.
If we associated one of the colours to the zodiac signs then the Royal Blue would relate to Capricorn which is my sun sign. Through this experience I feel that I have come a little closer to understanding the Royal Blue.

Later in the year, we will be offering a B2B area for Aura-Soma Teachers and Practitioners where they can purchase products at their wholesale discounts. In addition we are working on a system to make our drop shipping services available online.

The colours of Christmas
December 14th, 2006
I have been thinking about the colours of Christmas and the messages that they have to offer for this time of the year. Traditionally the colours are Red, Green and Gold.
Red is about being grounded. What does this really mean? To be grounded we are able to be practical and connected to the Earth. This is an important step as it helps us to get in touch with our Mission and Purpose and what we have come to do in this lifetime.
More and more I see the Red as being focused and present and it is when we are truly present that we can give the best of ourselves. When we always look back at the past we find regrets and recriminations and when we look into the future we wish to create something different. If we can put the roots down in the present and start laying the foundation, we can create that future now instead of longing for it.
The past is there as a reminder of the lessons that we have learnt and they can be used as an understanding of what we would like to place in the foundation but we should not get too tied down to how things were or where they went wrong.
At Christmas time we give presents and perhaps it is a reminder to be fully present when we create a joyous New Year. All things are possible if we allow it to be.
Green is to do with the feelings of the heart and Christmas can often bring about some of the most beautiful of human emotions. There are smiles to people we don’t know as we develop a compassionate understanding for others. It must really appear as if there is an abundance of earthly angels at this time!
Green is also to do with growth and perhaps it is a reminder that although we are in Winter the Spring is only a few months away! The evergreen presence of the Holly leaves continue to grow in defiance to the coldness of the winter. In the deepest time of hibernation we too can grow through love and caring!
Gold is about the Incarnational Star - the star that lies two fingers above the belly button and about two fingers depth inside. Like the three wise men followed the Star to Bethlehem to find Baby Jesus so it is that if we follow our own star that lies in the depths of our being so we will find the gifts within. To acknowledge the Star of ourselves is to recognise the point of Alchemy within us -we all have the potential to turn the raw materials into something of great worth.
Although it may be cold outside, may the warmth within you reach out and touch others that we may all share our warmth in the world.
Wishing you a season of love, light, joy and peace and a 2007 that brings the promise of fulfilment of all your most beautiful dreams.

The Sacred Journey - Day 6
November 6th, 2006
This day was a day of mixed feelings for me as I was going to miss three of close friends that were leaving the next day, although I was really pleased to know that I was going to still be at Kubu Lodge for five more days, participating in The Listening to the Star Within Course and the Final Day of the Sacred Journey.
We went to Linda’s farm as a large group for the last time and we walked down to a sacred amphi-theatre on her land where we shared our experiences of the last six days with love and gratitude.
Linda said that when she first realised that she had the task of taking a group of sixty people on outings, she thought it was rather daunting and she initially felt that it would be best to split the group into smaller groups of ten. When she met our group, however, she realised that we could not split up and she said that our group was like the lions. We thought with our hearts and felt with our minds.
I, myself, noticed how the group never complained or created any difficulties for anyone wherever we went. There was no tension in the group and it created a beautiful and loving unified experience.
When we were sitting and speaking as a a group, people had so many beautiful things to say and it was clear that we were all touched very deeply by our White Lion Experience. Someone spoke about the loss of there white cat just before the Sacred Journey, and someone else spoke about how the saw Zahira more as a Pink Lion rather than a White Lion because of all the love she had to give.
The baboons that had left signs of their presence all through the week decided that on this morning they would watch us from the trees above. It started off where we heard their calls from the distance and then the rustle in the trees. They came swinging from branch to branch, watching us, adults and babies alike.
We had a lovely lunch at Kubu Lodge and went through to a Xhosa village where we were welcomed by traditional drumming and dancing. We were shown firsthand village life and it started off for me as a really lovely experience.
All through the day after my experience at Kaapse Hoop Mike asked me if I was feeling ok and I thought that I was fine. As night set in and there was no electricity in the village I started to feel strange. I felt as if I was looking at people through other eyes that were not my own and I felt quite cut off from myself.
Dinner was served around a fire but I did not feel that I was able to eat. I went for a walk and kept seeing faces coming out of walls, trees and other structures! After dinner we went through to the kraal where there was traditional dancing and drumming around the fire. This would have been a fantastic experience, I am sure, if I was in my body!
People were dancing in the centre of the circle and it became a beautiful sharing of songs around the world. Afterwards a medicine woman through the bones to offer a message from the Lion Ancestors although admittedly I do not remember much at this point.
On the way back on the bus, I started crying uncontrollably although I still felt numb. Mike said that the tears were releasing something that had been frozen in my past. I think that I also felt the loss quite deeply of my three close friends leaving the next day.
So for me Day 6 was as much of a beginning as it was an ending ….
My own experience with the White lions
November 6th, 2006
Our little group of five was due to see the white lions on the fifth day of the Sacred Journey in the afternoon. We went out to Kaapse Hoop that day which turned out to be a really long drive there and we were only due to leave at around 3pm. This would have meant that we would not be able to see the lions in our slotted time.
I felt quite disappointed as each group had come back with some incredible feedback and you could see how the White lions had touched each person very deeply. My feelings during the day varied from anger, sadness and then to resentment but then the most amazing thing of all happened to me …. I let go of any expectations of seeing them. It wasn’t just a mental letting go that would help me feel better but it was a true letting go.
We eventually left Kaapse Hoop at around 4pm and on the bus back we were told that we were going to be the first group that was allowed into the 300 hectare enclosure at night as this was when the lions hunted and ideally Jason did not like to disturb them.
The feeling of excitement and relief was palpable in our group and when we reached Kubu at 8pm we scoffed our food down and we were ready for our journey. We were recommended by Mike to use the Gold Pomander to draw the lions towards us and we felt that it was really important to use the Lady Nada quintessence too so that they could feel the unconditional love from us.
Andy took us outside to Linda’s property and we waited for Jason Turner to take us in the Landrover to our wonderful experience. We used the pomander and quintessence in the dark under the African night sky which was filled with stars.
When Jason arrived he explained that he was able to track the lions as there was a solar powered collar on Marah and another on Letaba and depending where they were in the 300 hectares he would be able to see a reading on his handset. The further away they were would be two or three and the closer they were would give him a six or seven reading.
He established that they were near the river bed which was there favourite hunting place and so we made our way there where we received a seven reading. He didn’t want to crowd them so we waited in a clearing with the lights switched off. It was completely dark and it was amazing to think about the lion’s eyesight that they were able to hunt in the dark.
The pride was not coming any closer although we still had a seven reading and Jason decided to do some bundu bashing to find them. It is really difficult to explain the feeling that you have inside you when you have only heard beeping on a handset to suddenly have them appear in front of you in a clearing without any fences between you.
They were close to the perimeter fence they had the scent of wildebeest the night before and of course Regeus was lying down comfortably while the rest of the pride looked quite alert. Jason used a red bulb to view them so my experience of the lions were more as a dull red rather than a white but their beauty was able to shine through any possible way that you could view them!
Marah was scratching against a tree and apparently this was a territorial movement. Jason commented that they were in typical hunting mode and one of the girls said that it felt like the lions were just ignoring us.
The lions are used to the Landrover and to Jason but of course they could sense the different people in each group. Jason said the fact that they were ignoring us was because they felt comfortable with us and they were accepting of us otherwise they would disappear and they can be very hard to sight if they choose to be.
A few minutes after he said that they did disappear and I honestly thought that we wouldn’t see them again. We asked Jason many questions about their hunting and feeding patterns and I was under the impression that because they had not been in their enclosure for very long that they were only eating warthog and porcupine.
Imagine my surprise when he said that they had been successfully hunting and eating wildebeest for some time now. Even Regeus, the lazy hunter had managed to take down a wildebeest all by himself and of course he chose to eat it himself too.
Jason decided that we would try and find the lions again as they had not returned and we came upon them in a clearing where they were very alert for hunting. They kept walking further and we felt like the fifth lion of the pride as we slowly followed Regeus.
Marah came back and circled the jeep and she was only a few inches away from us. We felt no danger and Jason said not to make any sudden movements. In fact Jason still had his window open. She was so quiet when we passed and her sense of grace and beauty was such an honour to sense. A little later Zihra chose to circle the jeep after her mother too and this was also such a wonderful feeling.
After trailing behind the lions, Marah decided that it was time to double back and go into the bush to pursue their quarry. Zihra had been hiding in the bushes and decided to jump out at Letaba and Regeus - how wonderful to see the playfulness in something as serious as hunting.
So we got to see each of their faces in close proximity too and words cannot express the beauty and dignity that was portrayed in each of their faces! After two hours in the bush Jason asked if we were happy to head back and give the lions the space to carry on hunting. We couldn’t see how this experience could have been more special and we agreed that it was time to go.
On the way out we saw a little fleet footed Duiker, the eyes of the wildebeest hiding behind bushes and some other buck.
This experience is one that I will treasure for the rest of my life, particularly that this is not open to the public and it really was a very special occasion that we were able to spend these moments out in time with them.
The Sacred Journey - Day 5
November 6th, 2006
This day for me was probably the most challenging day of the whole journey and without realising it, I already had some resistances to going a few days before. On Day 5 we went to Kaapse Hoop to see the wild horses which also linked to the Unicorn energy.
Kaapse Hoop is a Sacred Site in direct alignment with the Golden Nile Meridian and it overlooks Barberton valley where the first gold was found. The rock formations have fossil records of the first life forms on earth and the outing was to include a two hour walk along the plateau in search of the 400 Wild Horses who were Guardians of the Unicorn Energy.
The previous evening we were told that if we did not want to do the two hour walk we could wait in the town and somehow this felt like the right thing to do. When I woke up in the morning my stomach was very bloated and uncomfortable and my ankles were very swollen. I tend to find that this happens when something energetic is working through me. As I had no intention of doing the two hour walk I decided to put on casual shoes that were not appropriate walking shoes.
The fifth day of the journey was a bank holiday in South Africa and this is known as Heritage Day and with this in mind we were going to have a traditional lunch in Kaapse Hoop. Our journey was very long and it we travelled through some beautiful landscapes within the Drakensberg but then it felt as if the landscape changed abruptly.
All around us were large rock formations that looked as if they had been thrown around by a giant having a tantrum. There was no structure or form to these formations and I felt very uncomfortable. I found out that we had reached our destination and it felt very different from the energy of the Wild Horses.
Kaapse Hoop is a little town which is built in a very unusual way. Some of the houses and structures were made of tin and I wasn’t certain where I would wait with my friend Ursula while the others went on their walk. The time passed very quickly and after lunch it was already 2pm and I didn’t see how the two hour walk would be possible.
Ursula and I went to speak to Mike Booth to let him know that we were not going on the walk and that we would wait in the village. He said that we were going to do a brief walk and that it was really important that they whole group go on the walk. Needless to say that Ursula and I were far from impressed and we had to clamber up different rock structures in not entirely suitable footwear to reach where we were going.
When we reached the top, there was a plateau and the rest of the group had made a final scramble to the top where the view was very beautiful. I somehow felt that I could not reach the top and found that I had to stay where I was.
Mike spoke about the journey of The Fool in the Tarot Cards where with trust and faith we stood at the edge of the cliff and in that moment I felt this inexplicable need to jump. Fortunately I was able to stop myself from doing this and the rest of the group went into meditation which I felt that I just could not do.
Linda spoke about the Unicorn energy and to call this toward us we should whisper Shen. I tried doing this but just found that this innocent and pure energy was very difficult to connect to in the environment that I was in.
The group then used the Holy Grail and Solar Logos quintessence and although I did not use it I could smell it and feel it in my aura. Very swiftly the energy became softer and I knew that the work that we had come to do as a group had been done.
Later on I asked Mike why I was so resistant to this place and he told me that I did not like places of sacrifice. It felt important to ask if I was the one that had sacrificed but he said that I was the sacrifice. This then made sense to me why I felt so resistant to the energies of the place.
As soon as we left Kaapse Hoop I started feeling better although I didn’t realise that this was only the beginning of me releasing the past. It was interesting to see that the South African people in the group all seemed to feel a resistant to this place so I f think that it was also something in our collective consciousness that we chose to clear at that point in time.
When we got back to Kubu Lodge it was already dark and late and we ate a candlelit dinner in the boma. We had a braai (barbeque) which was something that our group of five rushed through as we were off to see the White Lions.
Aura-Soma Healing through Colour, Plant and Crystal Energy
October 23rd, 2006
Unfortunately the book “Aura-Soma Healing through Colour, Plant and Crystal Energy by Mike Booth and Irene Dalichow” is out of print at the moment and when I spoke to our Distributors they were unable to give me a date when this would be printed again.
![]()
The newest book available is called The Aura-Soma Source Book and this is a very good alternative as it contains the most up to date information at this time, including information on the colours, the different sets within the Equilibrium range, the full range of pomanders, the full range of quintessences, colour essences and also the ArchAngeloi.
We have received excellent feedback on this book from different customers and we will let you know as soon as the other book is back in print.

Sacred Journey - Day 4
October 22nd, 2006
This was a lovely day as we went out to the Drakensberg mountains and spent some time in Graskop. The mountains appeared ahead of us and the landscape changed as the vegetation became more luscious. Linda said that Dragon Mountain (Drakensberg) was the spinal column and tail of the Great Dragon mountain which is also Africa’s primary ley-line. This ley-line is presided over by Archangel Michael and it was of special significance for those people that had attended the Glastonbury tour in August.
Linda pointed out to us that you could see the outline of a lion in the mountain and it was if interest to watch the Blyde River below us snaking its way through the valley. It felt to me as if it was the possibility of getting in touch with the kundalini and helping it to rise through the body.
Bly in Afrikaans means joy so the Blyde River is also the River of Joy which also connects to yellow and gold. So to allow the kundalini to rise and to get in touch with our Incarnational Star was the possibility of getting in touch with a deep joy within.
We stopped at a very beautiful reserve where you are able to look out at a breathtaking view of an expanse of water below you surrounded by mountains around you. Another famous land mark in these mountains are the three outcrops which are called the Three Sisters.
The atmosphere was peaceful and as a group we did a silent meditation using the ArchAngeloi Michael and connecting with his presence at this particular point of the ley-line.
While I had my eyes closed I saw the image of a beating heart with a sword in front it surrounded by fluffy wings. I had connected very strongly with Archangel Michael and it felt that this was all that I needed to do.
Outside where the bus was parked there were some market stalls where African jewellery, tablecloths, carvings and musical instruments were available to buy. James Asher bought some drums, xylophones and other wonderful things. That evening we had a party using the instruments that he had bought. The staff of the lodge joined in and it really felt as if our family had expanded.
Sacred Journey - Day 3

Day 3 - 23rd September
This was one of the most special days for me of the Sacred Journey. We were up very early in the morning so that we could have a Sunrise Equinoctial ceremony on the Nile Meridian that runs through Linda Tucker’s property. This line is referred to as Zep Tepi and it means first time.
The ceremony took place at 31 degrees E:08 which is in precise alignment with the tip of the Great Pyramid in the North. When we reached this point we found that there were some crystals laid out on the point of the leyline and this is where we gathered to meditate.
Linda picked up one of the crystals that had been moved and she said that the baboons had knocked it onto the path to remind us of them. Throughout the six days the baboons could be heard in the background as a constant reminder that they were there too.
We used the gold pomander and when settling down I noticed what could only be described as a little fairy ring. It was encircled by grass and it appeared to have little stones in it. I noticed that there seemed to be an energy coming from the ring which appeared to be a fine mist.
We each did our own meditation and I felt that it was important to open my eyes to truly appreciate the beauty that was surrounding me. When I looked up there were many flocks of orange coloured birds flying overhead. Orange in Aura-Soma is to do with healing the time line and is also about the possibility of getting in touch with our own insight and deep bliss. Isn’t it an interesting connection that we were working with Zep Tepi which is a leyline that runs all the way from the Nile down to Durban and that this is referred to as Zep Tepi - first time?
After the meditation Mike said that we had been working with the air element and at times there was a light wind that seemed to pass through us. This wind was not unusual during our Journey and it appeared on many occasions when we were meditating. We chanted some ancient words into the air that Linda sang for us and it is my hope that these beautiful words were carried with love to where they needed to go.
The day before Linda mentioned that we could leave crystals at different times of our ceremony and I had brought quite a few crystals that I had taken from our land that we own in Sterkfontein. Sterkfontein is referred to as the Cradle of Humankind and has become a protected area by the South African Government. It felt appropriate that I should leave some crystals that I had brought with from Sterkfontein in what felt like a very Sacred Space.
After the Ceremony we had some free time and we could go into the little town of Hoedspruit if we chose too. Linda also had her book Mystery of the White Lions, Children of the Sun God for sale as well as cards and posters which portrayed the four lions.
I chose to stay instead to buy the book and I was fortunate to have it signed by Linda herself. I felt drawn to tell Linda that I left the crystals from our land that morning where we meditated and she said that in the deep past when the sabre tooth lions walked the earth they had a link with man. She felt that it was significant that the crystals I had laid down were placed in the Tiimbavati as a symbol that we were ready to work with the White Lions once more.
We had a Sunset Closing Ceremony at a different part of the land where we formed a circle close to a termite hill that had some crystals placed on it. It was an interesting circle as some people were in the valley and others were on top of a hill! We connected and chanted in a space of love and also held a meditation. We used Lady Portia quintessence this time and it felt very appropriate.
On leaving we all circled the Termite hill and it seemed to hold a lot of energy. Again, I felt drawn to leave some crystals from our plot in Sterkfontein.
Dinner was lots of fun and we had ate outside at Jos MacDonalds. Our group split up into different little groups as we found tables that seated six people each. I really enjoyed myself, especially connecting with the other South African girls. We had so much fun that we were very reluctant to head back so early. When we got back to Kubu the party continued. We were fortunate enough to have James Asher on the journey with us who is a fantastic musician and makes many CD’s which are sold by Aura-Soma. We were slightly challenged for music as James had no instruments to play and he was even drumming on the table which two people were able to dance to!
Eventually after a good time was had by all, we all went to bed in preparation for Day 4 which was going to be a coach journey to the Drakensberg Mountains.
Sacred Journey - Day 1 & 2
October 11th, 2006
Day 1 - 21st September
This part of the journey involved a rather long and arduous seven hour journey to Kubu Lodge in The Timbavati which is very close to Hoedspruit. There were around 50 people on the coach and we were all very grateful when we got to Kubu Lodge at 8pm that evening. We ate dinner and most of us had an early evening to prepare us for what was to come.
Today was the day that we were to meet Linda Tucker - the Guardian of the White Lions on her own land.
Before taking the coach on the 10 minute journey to her land we all shared a meditation. I saw a Sphinx with the head of a Lion and I saw four wooden bridges that intersected in the middle. I was invited to walk into the centre which I did and thereafter I did not remember much else. I came out of the meditation feeling very peaceful and calm.
Linda Tucker was lovely to meet and she had two Shangaan trackers led our group through the Klaserie River Bed which lies on the Meridian from the Nile River through to Durban. She asked that we take off our shoes and walk on the river bed so that we could get a sense of the Meridian running under our feet.
Unfortunately there were too many us to all hear about the different spoors that the trackers were able to identify but something of interest is that when the White Lions were first released into the wild, the first prey they hunted were the porcupines. Porcupines are new on the evolutionary chain and by hunting and eating them they were able to absorb the porcupine energy medicine into themselves.
Our journey ended at an ancient baobab tree that is said to be around fifteen hundred years old. The bark was solid and sitting against it made me feel nurtured and protected. Some people sat in its branches and we all understood that she had many secrets absorbed within her waiting to be shared.
We sat and ate a lovely picnic lunch under her branches and after lunch we performed the first of our ceremonies.
We discovered that each ceremony over six days would be based on an element and today we were going to honour the water ceremony.
Someone was chosen as water bearer and took a large wooden bowl down to the river to collect some water.
Mike Booth explained to us that water comes from a different place than earth and water relates to our consciousness at a very deep level. He asked that when we felt ready, we should each touch the water and send a blessing to the water.
When it was my chance to stand in front of the water, I closed my eyes and saw a large lion. I have not really understood the lion in the past and it’s role as king of the jungle and I feel that this journey helped me to understand the Lion’s Role. Without really understanding what I was asking for I blessed the water and asked that the lions resume their rightful place in the world.
After everyone had blessed the water, the water was taken back to the river to intermingle with the rest of the flow so that our blessings could go as far as the water could carry them.
During the ceremony someone saw a little leopard cub and there were monkeys that were playing in the trees on the outskirts of where we were sitting. This was a reminder that we should not take everything too seriously but to also have fun!
In the afternoon we had a real treat as some Shangaan children performed a ceremony to do with the Freedom of the White Lions, They sang and danced beautifully and it was a joy to get in touch with their love and innocence.
After dinner we watched a video of the White Lion Story which I found particularly difficult as it featured why Linda was trying to help the White Lions back to freedom in the Timbavati.
Unfortunately White Lions are being bred in camps as future trophy symbols for people around the world and they are shot in captivity which has coined the phrase of “canned hunting”. The lions have no where to run and they are sadly being exploited. (This will appear in a different blog) There was a short clip of this in the video and for me the evening ended on a bit of a saddened note.
What I have since understood is that it is necessary to send to love to everyone and that what ever we see is all part of a bigger plan.
Energetically, our group was there to heal the land and to play a part of laying the foundation of a new and beautiful future to come.
A Sacred Journey starts with a single step
October 7th, 2006
On the 15th of September in the very early, uncivilised hours of the morning I made my way to Heathrow Airport. I was looking forward to my Sacred Journey with Aura-Soma but first I was to spend some time in Johannesburg with my family.
Johannesburg is also known as Egoli which means City of Gold. The Sacred Journey was also about tapping into the gold within and working very closely with a meridian that runs from the Nile River through to Durban. So much of my journey in South Africa was actually to do with Gold.
Gold is about the possibility for valuing ourselves at the deepest level of our being and it also helps us to get in touch with the wisdom within. When we come to the world in contact with our own Gold, we find it easier to acknowledge and honour the gold within others.
Johannesburg was a beautiful experience and as I was showing 3 friends Johannesburg for the first time, it really helped me to appreciate the city that I had grown up in before moving to the United Kingdom.
I often speak about South Africa as having a sense of wildness to it that can’t be tamed and many people have not been able to understand until they have experienced the aura and raw energy of the land.
Part of this experience was taking my friends to our beautiful property in Sterkfontein which contains quartz crystals that can be found lying on the ground. Sterkfontein has been designated as the Cradle of Humankind by the South African Government and has become a protected area.
Being in Johannesburg was really a grounding experience and opened the heart for what was to come.
To be continued ……….. :0)
