Going Postal
July 25th, 2007
Royal mail have not as yet been able to settle disputes with it’s workers and as such the Communication Workers Union (CWU) has announced a series of strikes over a two-week period. These begin at 7pm on Wednesday 25th July 2007 and end at 12 noon on Wednesday 8th August.
During this period we can expect delays on parcels as per previous strike days and we encourage our clients to make use of UPS. To help out a little we have waived our packaging fee on orders sent with UPS and subsidised £1 off the shipping fee which means that to send an order with UPS over the next 2 weeks will only cost £4.79
For clients who opt still to use Royal mail, we will send out orders when postal services are available however please expect delays in getting these.
We are very frustrated with the slow progress Royal mail is making in settling it’s industrial action issues and as a result are reviewing alternatives that would still make it cost effective for our consumers.
Warm wishes
Nick
